Interpath is looking for an experienced candidate to help develop Interpath’s growing financial modelling capabilities.We help our corporate clients understand their businesses through building models, reviewing models and data analytics. Our financial modelling capability forms part of our Data & Technology group which combines, data analytics, modelling and other tech-related consulting capabilities to serve a wide range of client needs often working alongside other parts of Interpath. We primarily using Excel to deliver high quality, flexible and bespoke analytics and modelling solutions but also often work with other technology solutions such as Power BI and Qlik. If you enjoy translating complex problems into models, this is the team for you. Our team is spread out across the country with staff in London, Birmingham, Manchester and Leeds.This role would include:
  • Supporting large and small projects to support clients in tackling business issues.
  • Applying technical skills to devise compelling and well thought out solutions to complex problems.
  • Building constructive working relationships to develop internal and external networks.
  • Providing high quality and flexible modelling solutions for a diverse range of clients
  • Using existing and developing new modelling skills to support delivery, develop capabilities and share knowledge on solutions and best practice techniques.
  • A variety of modelling work including cost modelling, financial forecast and scenario modelling, transaction modelling, debt and project finance modelling
  • Developing tactical solutions that automate finance and other operations.
  • Development of data models to support modelling and analytics deliverables.
  • Using visualisation and analytical software to drive insights from data to inform client decisions.
  • Supporting the various teams within Interpath (Restructuring, Advisory, Deals) to exploit modelling and data capabilities.
Key competencies:
  • Aptitude for managing projects, clients and stakeholders.
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Exposure to scoping, designing and building financial models.
  • Strong communication skills to be able to describe complex technical issues in a clear and non-technical way.
  • Experience in supporting multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in building and maintaining strong working relationships across a range of teams.
  • Ability to identify and implement process improvements in a controlled manner.
Requirements
  • A recognised finance or accounting qualification (ACA/CIMA/CFA or similar)
  • A first-class or upper second-class degree in a numerate subject
  • Experience in the Business Intelligence/Data Analytics space.
  • University degree 2.1 or higher (or equivalent) in Computer Science / Mathematics / Statistics or equivalent.
  • Completion of a recognised financial modelling course
  • Consulting experience
  • Data visualisation experience in Power BI, QlikView or Tableau
  • Numerate & analytical with knowledge of data management
· Strong knowledge of statistical methodologies and data analysis techniques (e.g. clustering)
  • Technically self-sufficient with a desire and ability to research and pick up new tools and techniques quickly.
  • Ability to visualise data effectively and communicate findings and recommendations clearly.
