
IT Infrastructure Manager

- Act as the final escalation point for complex technical issues raised by IT Service Desk Analysts, troubleshooting and resolving high-level incidents to minimise downtime and maintain productivity
- Oversee configuration, deployment, and ongoing support of Windows 10/11 environments, including patch management, driver updates, and performance tuning
- Administer and optimise the Microsoft 365 suite, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and security tools such as Microsoft Defender
- Define, implement, and enforce IT security policies and procedures, including vulnerability assessments, security controls, and compliance with ISO 27001, GDPR, and other standards
- Manage relationships with managed service providers and third-party vendors, including contract negotiation, performance evaluation, cost-effective procurement, and service delivery oversight
- Lead IT infrastructure projects (e.g. network upgrades, cloud migrations, security improvements, system rollouts), defining scope, budgets, and timelines, and coordinating stakeholders to ensure successful delivery
- Develop and manage the IT infrastructure budget, monitoring expenditure, identifying cost savings, and aligning resources with business priorities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date IT documentation (systems architecture, processes, configurations, and policies) and produce regular performance, uptime, capacity planning, and compliance reports
- 5+ years of IT infrastructure management experience
- Windows 10/11 administration
- Microsoft 365 (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, Defender, etc.)
- Azure (IaaS, PaaS)
- Active Directory and Group Policy
- Desirably Microsoft Intune (device and app management)
- Managing external vendors
- IT security principles and frameworks (ISO 27001, GDPR)
- Proven leadership, problem-solving, and project management skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
- Certifications such as MCSE, MCSA, ITIL, Azure/Entra, or Azure Solutions Architect Expert are highly desirable but not essential
