For more information, visit rwsglobal.com.About the roleWe are recruiting experienced Sound Technicians to join our technical teams at sea!The Sound Technician will support the entertainment department in operating and maintaining all audio equipment on board the ship to the highest standards.As the Technician responsible for the sound equipment in the theatre, the ship’s main entertainment venue, you will be operating the audio and AV systems for our production shows and live entertainment programme on a nightly basis.You will work with the latest technology & equipment to support the delivery of the programme. You will also be responsible, together with the stage team, for the set-up of the band equipment and the strike and build of the theatre sets related to each of the productions.Skills and experienceFor this role, you must have proven experience of mixing live sound in a theatre environment for a minimum of two years. Knowledge of QLab, DANTE, and working with timecode is essential. You must be confident in mixing audio for 8-10 live vocalists along with a live band, multi-track playback and in ear monitoring.You also need to be experienced in enforcing H&S procedures, technical operation of production shows and working as part of a ship wide team.Previous sea-going experience is desirable.Contract informationThe contract period for this role is 6 months with competitive pay, all meals and single occupancy cabin (varies dependant on client cruise line).All applicants must hold valid STCW certification (or be willing to obtain these) as well as an ENG1 or PEME seafarer medical certificate.So, if you are an experienced Sound Technician looking for your next career move then we’d love to hear from you.Salary: Starting at £450/weekDiversity and Inclusion StatementAt RWS Global, our team of bold makers and mold breakers is made of a diverse group of people who we believe make our work stronger.
