- Lead and manage the performance of individuals through regular performance, career, and development discussions
- Ensure Health and Safety in the receiving area, conducting audits and regular behavioural Observation of Safety (BOS) audits to reinforce a safety culture.
- Equip and train the team for optimal performance, including conducting SOP assessments.
- Coordinate day-to-day tasks of receiving operatives, managing breaks to maintain continuous potato supply.
- Organize holiday planning, manage team sickness, and oversee time and attendance.
- Coordinate shared resources within receiving areas, supporting technical training for the team.
- Ensure health and safety standards, including KES and behavioural Safety audits.
- Collaborate with production and Potato Scheduling Manager to achieve schedule attainment and total line utilization/recoveries.
- Manage day-to-day operations, including SAP system requirements.
- Ensure area KPIs align with wider plant and Agriculture objectives.
- Operate within best practice food safety guidelines and maintain audit readiness.
- Lead traceability activities and oversee waste management within the receiving area.
- Using and driving the adoption of MDI and MDIxAI processes, leveraging them to improve the reliability and performance of the department
- Ensure daily SQDCEP delivery, including washers, crop utilization, and effective blending operations.
- Liaise daily with production teams, making decisions on blending rates and technology operations.
- Validate specifications at the peeler handover point with production.
- Conduct routine sampling of raw materials, record data, and liaise with production for specification achievements.
- Manage wet and dry bins, utilizing raw material for the highest usable.
- Be accountable for personal safety and that of all personnel under your authority.
- Establish practices for a safe working environment and hold people accountable for safety standards.
- Challenge unsafe behaviours and enforce company H&S policy.
- Implement the company's food safety and quality policy.
- Maintain a Food Safety and Quality-focused mindset in your area.
- Promote behaviours preventing contamination threats and escalate non-compliance immediately.
- Be accountable for audit success within your area to support overall site audit success.
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles
