National Account Controller – Grocery
Hybrid (Central London 2 days every other week)
£90,000 + Car Allowance + 20% BonusAre you a proven grocery account leader ready to take on a high-profile project with a major UK retailer? This is a unique opportunity to join a fast-growing, rebranded food business that’s reshaping its future.We’re looking for a National Account Controller to lead a newly formed team focused on delivering a significant, high-impact retail partnership. This role will give you the chance to own a key strategic customer, manage a talented National Account Manager and National Account Executive, and collaborate closely with a Sales Director and epic board to massively grow the business.This is a pivotal moment for the company: the brand has undergone a cultural transformation, sharpened its strategy, and is now focused on growth in the grocery sector. You’ll play a hands-on role in building and formalising a new business unit, working closely with the retailer’s teams to land and expand an exciting programme.What you’ll do:
  • Lead and grow a high-performing customer account team (NAM + NAE).
  • Manage and develop a strategic grocery account with significant growth potential.
  • Drive JBP delivery, sales performance, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Operate with autonomy in a fast-paced, evolving environment – building structure where needed.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to embed strategy, values, and future-proof the business.
What we’re looking for:
  • Proven experience at SNAM/Controller level in UK grocery.
  • Strong track record managing major retail accounts – ideally with top 4 experience.
  • Commercially sharp with the gravitas to hold your own in high-stakes discussions.
  • Comfortable working in an evolving environment where not every process is in place.
  • Authentic, hands-on leader who can inspire and develop a small team.
The offer:
  • Salary circa £90,000 + car allowance + 20% bonus
