- Candidates must have completed accredited training in PBM or PMVA.
- Ability to effectively prevent and manage challenging behaviours in a safe and respectful manner.
- Experience in implementing de-escalation techniques and crisis intervention strategies.
- Certification in Team Teach training is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in applying positive behaviour management techniques and physical intervention strategies when necessary.
- Understanding of the importance of teamwork and collaboration in managing challenging situations.
- Must hold a valid driver's licence and have access to a vehicle.
- Minimum of 6 month's experience working in a regulated children's care setting or with young people in care.
- Familiarity with CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services) is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- An Enhanced DBS- Children and Adult - or willing to obtain
- Registered with Social Care Wales - or willing to register
- Providing overnight support and care to children and young people in a residential setting.
- Building positive relationships and promoting emotional well-being.
- Safeguarding young people- regular observations, detailed logs and documentation
- Adhering to individualised care plans and strategies.
- Assisting with household tasks and domestic duties.
- Maintain and manage boundaries- Keeping consistency with rules and adhering to care plans/risk assessments
