- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and interactive lessons.
- Provide 1:1 or small group support to children within Early Years following the EYFS framework.
- Foster a safe, supportive, and stimulating learning environment.
- Assist in the delivery of play-based learning activities.
- Assist in implementing learning activities according to child’s needs.
- Support the development of communication, social, and sensory skills.
- Establish rapport and trusting relationship and communicate effectively with children and their families and carers.
- A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools/EYFS).
- Have experience working with young children, ideally within a SEN setting.
- Possess a good understanding of the EYFS framework and child development principles.
- Passionate about children’s learning and has knowledge and understanding of how pupils learn within the EYFS.
- Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience or understanding of behaviours linked to additional needs.
- Hold an Enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for a new one.
