FINTEC recruit is seeking a Quality Engineer for our engineering client based in Renfrewshire. This is a permanent position, based on site, with salary within £40,000 to £45,000 plus benefits. May involve some travel to suppliers and trials in maintaining quality standards. You will be required to pass UK security clearanceResponsibilities
  • Conducting internal audits, witnessing tests; carrying out internal and supplier process manufacturing audits
  • Meeting government/defence standards & internal best practices and regulatory requirements
  • Engage with specialists in developing regulatory requirements for product, service or project lifecycle
  • Liaise with government bodies and regulators meeting compliance
  • Facilitate root cause analysis regarding product quality issues for corrective action
  • Communicate with internal depts, eg projects, HSEQ, Procurement, Production & participate in supplier review meetings
  • Undertake quality assurance inspections and test witness including at vendor locations, pus monthly reporting
Skills and Experience required for the Quality Engineer role:
  • Experience of ISO 9001 & industry best practice
  • Working within a defence or similar industry in a quality engineering role
  • Familiar with Quality Management software & MRP systems
  • Knowledge of certification & documentation within the defence sector is desirable
  • Good IT MS Office & attention to detail
