SEND TALocation : Swindon, SN25Pay : £22,000Start Date : September 2025I am working with an inclusive and supportive specialist primary school located in Swindon. Children are taught to be independent and strong by providing a secure and enabling environment. The school is looking for an organised and positive SEND Teaching Assistant to provide challenging, yet playful opportunities to help with the learning and development of the children.This is a permanent role starting from September. As an essential member of the school, you will play a fundamental role in supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) to develop their life skills and provide experiences which engage and motivate each pupil.Responsibilities :
  • Assisting in the planning and delivery of engaging educational experiences to further the development of SEND children.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, teachers and pupils to foster positive relationships within the community.
  • Provide a safe and secure environment
  • Promote learning through hands-on experiences.
  • Assist with behaviour management to ensure students are supported throughout.
Requirements :
  • Experience working with SEN children ; SEND Qualifications are desired but not essential
  • Enthusiasm to create a positive environment
  • Good communication skills and interpersonal skills to work with teachers and engage with students.
  • Good understanding of safeguarding procedures.
  • Adaptability and resilience for SEND support and behavioural management
