Deliver robust assessments and interventions that are child-centred, community-focused, and multi-agency informed, promoting best outcomes.Multidisciplinary Collaboration:
Work in close partnership with professionals across disciplines including Social Workers, Family Support Workers, and Educational Psychologists.Complex Caseload Management:
Use your expertise to manage challenging cases involving child protection, care planning, EHCP contributions, short breaks, and transitions into adulthood.Practice Leadership:
Support and supervise practitioners in the team, ensuring a culture of reflective practice, effective decision-making, and strong safeguarding outcomes.Quality Assurance & Oversight:
Ensure practice is compliant with statutory frameworks and local procedures, contributing to continuous service improvement and positive inspection outcomes.Essential Requirements:Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registrationProven experience in children’s disability services, safeguarding, and supervisionStrong understanding of legislation, including the Children Act 1989/2004, SEND Code of Practice, and Care Act 2014Excellent communication, team management, and decision-making skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment with empathy, authority, and resilienceWhy Havering?Havering is a unique blend of urban vitality and rural tranquillity.
