Bond Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting an experienced Paraplanner on behalf of our client, a very successful and well-established firm of Financial Planners based in Cheadle, Cheshire.Role overviewTo prepare research, written suitability reports and technical support to a team of Advisers, Senior Advisers and PartnersTo ensure that the preparation of advice for clients (internal and external) is of the highest quality and is prepared in a timely mannerTo assist the Technical Services Manager in mitigating and highlighting any risks to the businessTo provide relevant MI data when requested to the Management TeamResponsibilitiesResearch, Technical Support, Written Reports and the Preparation of AdviceTo provide technical support, highlighting areas of possible business to AdvisersTo use the approved research tools to provide the adviser with research to support their recommendationsTo analyse and research options for the advisers including products and providers as necessaryTo deliver high quality reports in a timely manner, covering a variety of areas including Mortgages, Protection, Business Protection, Investments, Pensions and Inheritance Tax PlanningTo ensure cases are submitted and any remedial follow up work is actioned in a timely and prompt mannerTo highlight any areas of business or specific cases where there may be compliance concerns to the relevant Adviser and/or your Manager where appropriateTo follow Network Procedures and Protocol, liaising where required with the checking unit to ensure cases are compliantAssisting the Technical Services Manager in mitigating and highlighting any risks to the companyProvide support to the Technical and Services Manager as requiredAssist other colleagues with any technical and compliance queries as requiredFlag any areas of the business where appropriate to mitigate risk and ensure quality is maintainedFlag any areas or processes where processes are missing or inefficientProvide any MI data requested by the management team in a timely fashion as requiredOther DutiesTo Proactively suggest improvements for the continuing progression of the team and the CompanyAssist with administration and New Business Pipeline as and where required, ensuring business is submitted and any New Business is followed through to completion in line with the Administration role as and when required by your ManagerUse of Back Office system and any other systems as required to ensure smooth running of the Paraplanning role / administration role as required and the CompanyProactively enhance your own Industry and Company knowledge, through external and internal sources to ensure knowledge is up to date and accurateSkills requiredAttention to detailStrong technical knowledge of financial servicesExcellent standard of written & verbal communication to be able to liaise with advisers, providers and clientsEffective technical and product research using own initiative where appropriateAbility to manage time and your own workload as well as working in a teamAbility to interpret data and to analyse where existing procedures and practices do not meet with current regulatory standardsIn depth understanding of compliance within Financial ServicesMicrosoft Office, including, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and PublisherQualificationsDiploma in Financial Services (or working towards equivalent)KnowledgeAn understanding of Mortgages, Protection, Business Protection, Investments, Pensions and Inheritance Tax PlanningExperienceA minimum of two years' experience in Financial ServicesIf you feel you have the skills and experience and would be a suitable candidate for the role, please apply today and we will be in touch within 24 hours.
