Our client, a well-established logistics company, is seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join their busy operation in Leeds. This full-time, permanent role offers great stability, a supportive team environment, and the chance to develop your career in logistics.The RoleAs a Forklift Operator, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth and safe handling of goods within the warehouse. Your main responsibilities will include:Safely operating counterbalance and reach forklifts to load, unload, move, stack, and store goods.Handling deliveries – checking quantities and condition, and completing all necessary documentation.Supporting the organisation of stock to maximise warehouse space and efficiency.Preparing goods for dispatch, ensuring accuracy and timely turnaround.Carrying out regular equipment checks and reporting any faults.Maintaining a clean, safe working environment in line with company and H&S standards.Liaising with drivers and subcontractors, providing clear instructions for loading/unloading.Working HoursMonday to Friday, 40 hours per weekWeekly alternating shifts: 7am-4pm and 9am-6pm (1-hour lunch)Overtime available at 1.5x hourly rateOccasional Saturday mornings (paid as overtime)BenefitsDiscretionary Christmas bonus25 days holiday (increasing to 30 with service) plus bank holidaysOvertime opportunities at enhanced ratesLong-term stability in a supportive team environmentAbout YouValid forklift licence (counterbalance/reach) – essentialExperience operating forklifts in a warehouse/logistics environmentStrong attention to safety, accuracy, and detailGood organisational and communication skillsBasic computer literacy (MS Office 365 experience desirable)A proactive, flexible approach to teamwork and problem-solvingA first aid qualification (preferred, not essential)WR Logistics are the #1 recruitment partner for all vacancies in the logistics industry.
