This role will involve supporting the installation of secondary steel structures on the HPC site, ensuring all Health & Safety protocols and company policies are meticulously followed.Key Responsibilities:
  • Leading a team of operatives and supporting management
  • Providing technical advice and proposing technical solutions as required
  • Reviewing and approving technical & safety documentation
  • Ensuring installation of works is as per design and process
  • Delivering works on time and within budget
  • Supervising contracted staff
  • Managing and ensuring compliance with the NNB permit to work processes
  • Attending coordination meetings
  • Acting as Incident Controller (IC) and Trauma and Medical Immediate Care (TMIC)
Job Requirements:
  • Strong team leader with attention to safety and quality
  • Experience in data input and familiarity with HPC (desirable)
  • Ability to set people to work and ensure works are delivered as per design, on time and on budget
  • Excellent team working and relationship-building skills
  • Strong communication and technical skills
  • An eye for detail and problem-solving abilities
Qualifications - Essential:
  • Level 3 Pipe Welder Apprenticeship Standard (ST0851) or equivalent
  • Diploma in Welding Engineering Construction (Pipework or Plate)
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience as a Welder in a relevant industry
  • CSWIP certificate or L2 PCN Certificate
  • BS EN ISO 9606 Coded Welding Qualification
  • One of the following: LATS, SSSTS, IOSH Managing Safely
Qualifications - Desirable:
  • VT - CSWIP certificate
  • TMIC trained (First Aid at Work trained)
  • IC trained
  • Permit Acceptor
