- Assisting in the educational and social development of students.
- Providing one-on-one support to children with special educational needs.
- Collaborating with teachers and other staff members to create a positive learning environment.
- Implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapting teaching materials to meet the needs of each student.
- Supporting students in developing social skills and managing their behavior.
- Helping with personal care tasks as needed.
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.
- A genuine passion for supporting children with autism and physical disabilities.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Previous experience working with children with autism is essential. This can include personal experience.
- Experience in a school or nursery setting is preferred.
- Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification desired.
- Nursery Nurse qualification is also preferred.
