Law Accountant

• Manage a costs case load of Defender and / or Pursuer expenses files;
• Drafting points of objection / responses to accounts claims;
• Negotiate on expenses offers;
• Advise and help on all aspects of third party claim for expenses;
• Draft accounts of expenses

• Analytical skills, for the practical application of the law to cases;
• Excellent written and oral communication skills for preparing reports and written submissions;
• Negotiation skills (as the role requires the individual to be able to negotiate the level of costs claimed and deal with contentious issues);
• Accurate numeracy skills and the ability to work with data;
• Knowledge of current trends;
