Process Control Technician / Shift ManagerDungannon | Competitive salary (dependent on experience) | Rotating day & night shiftsA leading manufacturing company is seeking a skilled Process Control Technician / Shift Manager to join their operations team. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of plant performance, oversee critical process control, and play a key part in ensuring consistent quality and output in a fast-paced production environment.The Role:You'll be responsible for the setup, monitoring, maintenance, and repair of process equipment and machinery, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime. Working closely with senior management, you'll maintain production parameters, respond quickly to alarms, and ensure quality standards are met.Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare the plant for full operation at the start of each shift in line with the production schedule.
  • Monitor, control, and maintain key process variables within specified limits.
  • Respond to alarms promptly, document actions taken, and escalate unresolved issues to management and maintenance teams.
  • Maintain process control for raw material metering to ensure consistent formulation and quality.
  • Track and report weekly costs and material losses, presenting findings to management.
  • Identify process inefficiencies and support continuous improvement initiatives.
What You'll Need:
  • Minimum 4 GCSEs (including English & Maths) or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years' experience in a process or equipment setup role within a high-volume production environment.
  • Skilled in mechanical setup, changeovers, and alignments on high-volume equipment.
  • Experience monitoring and adjusting process variables to maintain control.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving process/equipment issues quickly.
  • Competent in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Desirable:
  • NVQ/HNC or equivalent in Engineering or related subjects.
  • Knowledge of SCADA control systems.
Shift Pattern:
  • Week 1: Monday - Thursday, 6:00am to 6:00pm
  • Week 2: Monday - Wednesday, 6:00pm to 6:00am
