We’re looking for dedicated and resilient individuals to join us as Youth Behaviour Mentors across alternative provision settings in Bristol.As a Youth Behaviour Mentor, you'll work within schools and educational settings to support children and young people who experience behavioural difficulties, often linked to underlying social, emotional, or mental health needs (SEMH). This vital role involves working 1:1 and in small group settings, helping pupils understand and manage their behaviour more effectively, and empowering them to succeed.Key Responsibilities:Identify pupils who would benefit from behaviour mentoring supportDeliver 1:1 mentoring and small group sessionsSupport pupils in understanding and improving their behaviourDevelop and implement behaviour support strategies and action plansMonitor and record pupil progress and behavioural developmentsLiaise with SENCos, teaching staff, and external professionalsOrganise structured lunchtime activities to reduce conflict during unstructured timesHelp maintain communication with families to support consistent behaviour strategiesServe as a positive role model, demonstrating behaviour pupils can aspire toWhat We’re Looking For:A genuine interest in working with young people, particularly those with challenging behavioursResilience, patience, and the ability to remain calm in difficult situationsA strong team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skillsPrevious experience is helpful but not essential – the right attitude is most importantA commitment to supporting inclusive education and positive outcomes for all learnersWhy Join Us?Make a meaningful impact on young lives in your local communityReceive full training and ongoing support
