- Understand and prioritize the insurance needs of clients.
- Tailor insurance solutions to effectively address client requirements.
- Manage new and existing commercial insurance risks such as haulage, construction, transportation, etc.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and insurers.
- Act as a mentor and technical reference point, helping as needed.
- Manage senior relationships and negotiate complex placements within the insurance market.
- Collaborate closely with account executives or manage your own portfolio of SME/mid-size risks.
- Assist in driving a high-performing culture within the team.
- Operate within agreed compliance and regulation guidelines.
- Handle quotations, renewals, Mid-Term Adjustments (MTAs), policy issues, etc., in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Understand a client or prospect’s business, identifying situations, opportunities, and key challenges.
- Proven experience within the commercial insurance broking marketplace.
- Comprehensive knowledge of diverse commercial insurance risk classes.
- Ability to identify appropriate placing markets.
- Adept at pricing and designing insurance programs.
- Track record of cultivating new and existing client and insurer relationships.
- Act as a mentor and go-to resource for technical assistance.
- In-depth knowledge of the insurance market to effectively address client and technical issues.
- Capability to comprehend a client or prospect’s business, recognizing situations, opportunities, and key challenges.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent technical skills in articulating complex insurance concepts.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver compelling presentations. Adherence to agreed compliance and regulation guidelines.
- Contribution to fostering a high-performing culture within the organization.
- Proficiency in managing senior relationships and adept negotiation skills for complex placements within the insurance market.
