Maths Cover Teacher (Secondary) – South BristolProtocol Education are recruiting confident and proactive Maths Cover Teachers to support secondary schools across South Bristol. You’ll step into the classroom when teachers are absent, delivering pre-planned maths lessons and ensuring students stay motivated, supported, and on track with their learning. This role is ideal for qualified maths teachers seeking greater flexibility, or ECT applicants looking to gain valuable classroom experience that will support future career progression. Successful applicants will bring subject knowledge, energy, and the ability to build positive relationships with both staff and students.What the job looks like:
  • Confidently delivering pre-planned lessons, ensuring strong ratios of student engagement and completion.
  • Managing behaviour in line with school policies, with both consistency and warmth.
  • Supporting students with professionalism, encouragement and patience.
  • Collecting and organising completed work for the use of the classroom teacher.
  • Reporting back on learning progress and behaviour for the use of the classroom teacher.
