A growing civil and environmental consultancy is seeking a CAD Technician to join their highways and infrastructure team. With a strong pipeline of local authority projects, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality designs across highways, public realm, and urban infrastructure schemes.About the RoleWorking closely with engineers, you'll:
- Prepare plans and technical drawings from concept through to detailed design
- Develop 3D models for highways surfaces and earthworks
- Produce drainage details, including SuDS elements
- Extract and analyse quantities to support design delivery
- Ensure drawings meet relevant highway standards (S278/S38)
- Contribute to the development of design templates and quality standards
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a CAD Technician
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D (essential)
- Highways design experience, ideally with S278 and S38 schemes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work across multiple projects and collaborate with engineers, councils, and stakeholders
- Enthusiasm and attention to detail
