
Senior Garment Technologist

- Lead and manage all aspects of the Garment Technology department's daily operations.
- Organise and oversee the Garment Technologist and Junior Garment Technologists day-to-day workload, including sample measuring, fit comments and product grading, all while providing clear direction and support to aid their progression and learning.
- Oversee the end-to-end product development process, working closely with the design team from initial design concept through to final product, ensuring all garments meet our quality, fit, and technical standards while maintaining design integrity.
- Provide technical information to design and development packs, including measurements, block and construction details in order to get the perfect first sample.
- Plan and organise weekly fit sessions with both internal and external fit models, ensuring sessions are scheduled in advance to maintain an efficient and consistent workflow.
- Attend weekly critical path meetings with Design, Merchandising and Quality Assurance teams to ensure alignment on ex-factory dates, proactively address any production delays, and keep product timelines on track.
- Working closely with our various international suppliers to ensure that all garments are manufactured efficiently and to the highest standards whilst maintaining strong lines of communication and nurturing our supplier relationships.
- Supporting our internal Quality Assurance team to maintain existing product standards and ensuring that relevant products comply with safety and quality standards.
- And any other duties required by your manager.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a Garment Technologist role
- Previous experience in Seamless/Activewear product is imperative
- Previous experience in team management
- A proven track record of developing and delivering high-quality products across multiple categories, with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent technical knowledge of garment construction, pattern cutting, fabric properties, grading, sizing and manufacturing processes across both womenswear and menswear.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively both with cross-functional teams and with international suppliers.
- Ability to assist with the management of our quality control processes.
- Experience working with international factories and suppliers.
- Exceptional attention to detail & quality standards
- A familiarity with relevant safety and quality standards, including testing methods and procedures.
- Highly organised with the ability to self-manage is essential.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Driven work ethic, taking ownership of your workload/role.
- Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
- Interest in the fitness industry would be advantageous.
