  • Ensuring preparation of all aspects of the monthly management accounts, including accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations within the Group’s reporting timelines.
  • Supporting the Accounts Assistant to ensure the effectiveness of the AR and AP functions.
  • Review of bank and balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring a continuous clean balance sheet position with risks highlighted and managed appropriately.
  • Build relationships site teams to ensure a) all inputs are received in a timely manner, and b) information is produced to meet their needs and help build the profile of Finance within the business.
  • Working closely with Project Managements to ascertain a clear deferred revenue position feeding into the monthly management accounts process.
Cashflow
  • Preparation of rolling weekly cash flow forecast.
  • Review of payment runs produced by Accounts Assistant, ensuring that urgent payment needs are met to allow for operational delivery.
Compliance
  • Completion of monthly VAT return to HMRC, ensuring the information for VAT returns is accurate and submitted and paid for on time.
  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations
  • Work closely with the external auditors and Group Finance function on the year end audit and tax queries.
Other
  • Drive improvements in reporting and underlying accounting processes to increase quality of information and timeliness.
  • Contribute to annual budgeting and planning process, working closely with the Finance Business Partner.
  • Support the completion of finance related projects such as capex approval requests.
  • Produce reports and data analysis as required by the business.
