Mobile Service Engineer – Forklift / Material HandlingLocation: Colchester & surrounding areasSalary/Bonuses£41,000-42,000 + Overtime (x1.5 / x2) + Van + Call Out Allowance (£150/week optional)+ £2,000 salary increase in January, with a further rise in AprilNeos Engineering are partnered with a leading specialist in forklift and material handling equipment, who are seeking a skilled Mobile Service Engineer to join their growing field service team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a business that truly invests in its engineers, offering excellent earning potential, structured training, and genuine career progression.The RoleAs a Mobile Service Engineer, you will carry out planned maintenance, servicing, and repairs across a wide range of forklift and material handling equipment. Working field-based within an hour of your home location, you will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service, supporting breakdown callouts when required, and ensuring all work is completed to the highest standard.Key responsibilities include:
  • Servicing and repairing forklift trucks and material handling equipment.
  • Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults.
  • Supporting breakdowns and optional callout rota.
  • Completing accurate service reports and job documentation.
  • Representing the company professionally on customer sites.
The CandidateWe are looking for an experienced engineer with a strong mechanical background and an interest in continuous technical development.Essential skills & experience:
  • Proven experience with forklift or material handling equipment.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge (diesel engines, hydraulics, transmissions).
  • Electrical knowledge – electrical bias highly desirable.
  • Flexible, proactive, and able to work independently.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
