Job Description:Help us make a difference as a Shift Electrical Technician at our Green Energy facility in HullThe role is Shift rota (2 days / 2 nights / 4 off) 6am/6pm - 6pm/6am£43,000 per annumA quick look at the role.The role holder will effectively drive engineering activities at our facility to deliver all operational aspects of the facility. The role holder will be responsible for driving plant availability through ensuring all PPM's, reactive maintenance, engineering, and process improvements are carried out and implemented in a timely manner. The role holder will drive best practice on a shift basis through high engineering, compliance and H&S standards.Your core responsibilities.
  • Tackle machinery issues fast - respond to breakdowns, carry out planned preventative maintenance, and deliver project work across a variety of industrial equipment.
  • Hands-on electrical work - sensors, relays, AC/DC motors, contactors, control panels, PLCs (ideally Siemens S7), with strong fault-finding skills and the ability to interpret electrical drawings.
  • Industrial know-how - experience in manufacturing, industrial, or automated environments, electrically qualified, and confident with both electrical and mechanical fault finding.
  • Control & instrumentation expertise - work with MCC panel layouts, temperature sensors, pressure transducers, flow meters, and carry out accurate electrical diagnostics and PLC hardware work, while maintaining top-tier safety and housekeeping standards.

Requirements:Our essential requirements.
  • Electrical NVQ level 3 or similar
  • HNC Electrical/Electronic Engineering (advantageous)
  • BS7671 18th edition (advantageous)
