Your focus will be on corporate architecture solutions and tools that span Betfred.You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Programme Managers, Product Owners, and business stakeholders, to deliver high-quality solutions within specified timelines and provide a bridge between business and technical stakeholders.Job DutiesCollaborate with business stakeholders to understand their requirements, define solution objectives, and work with Technical Architects to design end-to-end technology solutions that align with business goals.Engage with business stakeholders, Project Managers, and Technical Architects to gather requirements, provide regular progress updates, and ensure alignment between business objectives and technical implementation.Discover and document the current technology landscape highlighting duplication in functionality and opportunities for consolidation and simplification.Work with third-party suppliers and manage relationships at a technical level.
Design and present conceptual solutions to business and technical stakeholders.
Assess existing systems, identify integration points, and develop strategies for seamless integration with new and current technologies.Create and maintain detailed solution architecture documentation, including system diagrams, reusable artefacts, technical specifications, and best practice guidelines.Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluate their potential benefits and drawbacks, and make recommendations for their incorporation into existing or new solutions.Identify potential technical risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success, including scalability, performance, security, and data integrity considerations.Knowledge, Skills and ExperienceEssentials:Significant experience as a Technical Architect within a software development environment.Strong understanding of software development methodologies, architectural patterns, and technologies such as cloud computing, microservices, APIs, database systems, and web technologies.Ability to comprehend complex business requirements and translate them into practical technical solutions that align with business objectives.Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization and present technical concepts in a clear and concise manner.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate alternative solutions and make informed decisions based on technical, business and compliance considerations.Experience working collaboratively in cross-functional teams and ability to foster a positive work environment conducive to innovation and creativity.Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and manage workload effectively in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.Desirables:Experience working in a highly regulated environment.Hands-on experience in designing Cloud and Hybrid solutions.Knowledge of security architecture and secure design.Experience in CI/CD practices and strategies.What’s in it for you?We offer a variety of competitive benefits, some of which vary depending on the role you’re recruited to.
