An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Account Handler to join a well-established and specialist Contingency Insurance team in the heart of the London insurance market. This role offers the chance to work across a diverse range of contingency risks including event cancellation, non-appearance, terrorism/political violence, film & media, public liability, and prize indemnity, among others.The company is a respected Lloyd's Broker and Coverholder with an international presence, providing both retail and wholesale solutions across the UK and Europe. You'll be part of a collaborative team that works closely with underwriters, producers, and internal stakeholders to deliver exceptional service and underwriting support throughout the full policy lifecycle.Key Responsibilities:Handle incoming insurance enquiries and conduct initial risk research and analysisPrepare quote slips detailing risk and coverage requirementsWork closely with placing brokers to coordinate quote distributionProduce post-bind MRC slips and manage PPL uploadsLiaise with underwriters to obtain stamping and approvalsCoordinate with processing teams to ensure accurate data entry and complianceProcess policy endorsements and provide ongoing client/broker supportAssist with internal operations and support continuous process improvementsRequirements:Essential:Experience within the London insurance marketStrong understanding of MRC slip production and insurance placementHigh attention to detail and excellent communication skillsAbility to manage a busy workflow and competing prioritiesConfident using Microsoft Office and market-specific systemsDesirable:Experience with contingency or event insuranceFamiliarity with PPL (Placing Platform Limited)Progress toward CII or other professional insurance qualificationsUnderstanding of Lloyd's market standards and proceduresIf you're a proactive Account Handler with a passion for specialty risks and want to be part of a close-knit and growing team, this could be the ideal next step in your career.Apply now or contact us today for a confidential discussion.Bruin recognises the positive value of diversity, and aims to promote equality and challenge unfair discrimination.
