We have an exciting opportunity for a Substance Misuse Clinical Lead to join our Substance Misuse team at HMP Millsike, a category C Prison located in Full Sutton, East Yorkshire.HMP Millsike is a newly built prison with an operational capacity of 1500 places. As part of the government's drive to cut reoffending prisoners will spend their sentences learning the skills they need to find work on release.This is a rare opportunity to be part of a new healthcare team from the inception of a brand new prison site.Hours Monday to Friday -08:00 - 16:00SalaryThis position is full time, you'll receive an annual salary up to £55,996 per annum - depending on experience.How we will support you?

Candidates are required to have a Legal right to work in the UK and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.What you'll be doingAs a Substance Misuse Clinical Lead, your responsibilities will vary. You will
  • Provide clinical leadership and management to the registered nurses and care teams.
  • Work closely with partners to maintain a robust, high quality clinical service for patients. Ensure that own clinical practice is consistent with autonomous practice within the role.
  • Deliver a range of treatment options including clinical and psychosocial interventions.
  • Monitor therapeutic responses to medication and potential side effects.
  • Support in group work delivery of clinical interventions.

  • NMC Registered Nurse – Adult or Adult Nurse
  • Understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working
  • Existing line management experience and student nurse mentorship
  • RCGP 1 in Substance Misuse or willingness to undertake
  • Experience of working with opiate dependant patients
  • Sound clinical substance misuse knowledge
