An international professional services organisation are looking for a Software Tester to join their hybrid team in Glasgow. They're in the process of transforming their digital innovation arm, so this is a chance to get involved at an exciting stage of their journey, with a team that's shaping the way technology drives transformation across the business.The RoleYou'll be joining a small but growing team which focuses on experimentation, digital platforms, and emerging technologies. Reporting into the Tech Lead, you'll play a key role in ensuring the quality of new products and platforms by designing test strategies, building automation frameworks, and getting hands on with both manual and automated testing.This isn't a traditional test role - you'll be expected to contribute ideas, help shape best practice, and get involved in some really interesting work around AI and new tech. It's very much a "startup within a larger business" feel, so you'll need to be comfortable with change, happy to take ownership, and genuinely interested in innovation.What you'll be working on
  • Developing test strategies across APIs, integrations, and low code solutions.
  • Creating and maintaining automated test suites to improve efficiency and coverage.
  • Carrying out manual testing and identifying opportunities to automate.
  • Building test plans, defining scope, and ensuring everything meets high quality standards.
  • Working closely with developers, product managers, and analysts to deliver robust software.
  • Getting exposure to AI, GenAI, and other emerging technologies as part of the team's wider projects.
About YouWe're looking for someone with around 2-6 years' experience in software testing who's ready to step into a specialist role. You'll need a solid technical grounding in back end testing and automation, alongside the confidence to work independently in a fast moving environment.Key skills and experience:
  • Strong understanding of software testing principles and automation.
  • Experience with tools like Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar.
  • Programming experience (Python, Java, etc).
  • Exposure to Agile or DevOps environments.
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Enthusiasm for digital innovation, AI, and exploring new technologies.
Bonus points if you bring:
  • ISTQB or other testing certifications.
  • Knowledge of data science or analytics.
  • Previous experience in a regulated industry (finance, legal, etc.).
