- Carrying out lab testing on raw materials and formulations to assess quality and performance
- Supporting product development projects (NPD/EPD) from concept to launch
- Using analytical chemistry techniques such as GC, spectroscopy, and wet chemistry methods
- Helping to develop and maintain testing methods
- Learning to calibrate, validate, and maintain analytical instruments
- Ensuring lab documentation and data recording are accurate and compliant
- Following Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and supporting lab hygiene, safety, and COSHH compliance
- Working cross-functionally with QA, Production, and external clients
- Getting involved in exciting R&D initiatives to drive innovation
- A degree (or equivalent) in Chemistry, Food Science, or a related technical subject
- A hands-on, practical mindset with a strong interest in lab-based work
- A desire to learn and grow within a commercial lab setting
- An analytical thinker with excellent attention to detail and data accuracy
- Confident communicator who can work well both independently and in a team
- Familiarity with basic lab safety, documentation, and good working practices
- Any prior lab or analytical experience (e.g. from a placement or internship) is welcome, but not essential
