This is a critical role requiring hands-on expertise in fire risk management within hospital environments, ensuring safety standards are upheld and aligned with healthcare regulations and best practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead fire safety across hospital sites, including the development and implementation of fire safety policy
- Manage and carry out Fire Risk Assessments (FRAs) across hospital buildings
- Provide fire safety training, advice, and guidance to staff and contractors
- Investigate fire incidents and ensure robust reporting, learning, and improvement processes
- Ensure compliance with Fire Safety Order, HTM standards, and broader H&S legislation
- Liaise with external fire authorities and internal stakeholders to maintain a safe healthcare environment.
- NEBOSH Certificate in Fire Safety (or equivalent)
- Significant experience working in hospital or large healthcare estates
- Proven track record managing and delivering FRAs in healthcare settings
- Strong knowledge of fire and health & safety legislation, including HTM and NHS-specific requirements
- Excellent communication and report writing skill
