
Management Accountant

- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Handle ad-hoc projects and reports as required.
- Perform month end accounting processes, ensuring the accuracy, integrity and completeness of financial information.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring that all balances are supported, highlighting any risks or opportunities and actioning all differences in the control accounts promptly.
- Responsible for the delivery of high-quality reports, information and commentary to provide insights to enable the business to make effective strategic and operational decisions.
- Ensure that all processes and procedures are implemented in accordance with GAAP principles and comprehensively documented to establish a robust controls environment.
- Support the internal and external audit processes
- Maintain a detailed knowledge of source data, and the structure and use of financial information from core systems which feeds into the financial statements.
- Understand the impact of operational changes to procedures and core business systems to ensure correct accounting treatment and up to date posting books.
- Provide support to R2R Managers on ad-hoc reporting and analysis.
- Help deliver change through support on refining and improving existing processes.
- Qualified accountant (ACCA / CIMA / ACA).
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Knowledge of Cognos-based tools desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to prioritise workload to meet deadlines.
