This is a key opportunity for a seasoned practitioner to support children and young people in care, ensuring they are safe, supported, and able to achieve positive outcomes as they transition into adulthood.You’ll be joining a vibrant, supportive, and forward-thinking team within a local authority that is undergoing significant transformation in how it delivers children’s services. Your input will directly shape practice, improve outcomes, and contribute to a culture of excellence.What You Can Expect:A strong and supportive multi-agency team cultureOffice base at 3 Knowsley Place, with hybrid flexibilityCommitted and experienced managementA council focused on innovative and restorative practiceA role central to Bury’s transformation journey for children’s servicesDuties and Responsibilities:Hold a manageable caseload of Looked After ChildrenUndertake regular statutory visits, assessments, and care planningWork closely with carers, families, schools, and health servicesContribute to care proceedings, permanency planning, and pathway planningSupport and mentor less experienced staffEnsure clear, timely, and high-quality case recordingChampion best practice and lead on improving outcomes for children in careRequirements:SWE RegistrationSocial Work qualificationSignificant post-qualified experience within LAC/Children in CareStrong safeguarding, assessment, and care planning skillsExperience in court work and multi-agency collaborationAbility to supervise, support and model good practice to othersUp-to-date references covering 5 years, with all gaps accounted forIf you are passionate about delivering high-quality care and support to children and young people, and ready to be part of a service that is striving to do things differently, we’d love to hear from you.Contact Details:
