- Assist in creating and implementing individualised education plans (IEPs).
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
- Assist with personal care needs, including feeding, toileting, and mobility.
- Collaborate with teachers and therapists to adapt and modify instructional materials.
- Monitor and record student progress and behaviour.
- Encourage communication and social interaction among students using a range of communication methods.
- Personal experience supporting a family member with SEN/PMLD is also valued.
- Level 2 Team Teach is essential, although this training can be offered by Veritas.
- Safeguarding training is essential, although this training can be offered by Veritas.
- GCSE English and Maths is essential.
- Strong knowledge of SEN is essential.
- Strong communication, empathy, and patience are crucial. The ability to handle challenging situations with calm and professionalism is a must.
- A dedication to improving the lives of students with complex needs and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Willingness to adapt to the varying needs of students and the school environment.
- A moving and handling qualification is preferred.
- Candidates must hold or be willing to apply for an enhanced DBS upon registration.
- Have proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
