We are seeking a dynamic and experienced band 6 OT who wishes to work in an integrated manner at the Merton & Sutton Early Intervention Service. This exciting role presents the opportunity to work in a supportive team, holding an OT caseload with a smaller care coordination caseload, providing specific OT recovery focused assessment and treatment to adults with first-episode psychosis. For the right candidate we will also consider an experienced Band 5 OT, willing to undertake a defined period of development, working towards a Band 6, as part of our preceptorship plus programme.Our priority is to work collaboratively with clients, offering time-limited recovery focused interventions, supporting individuals to maintain their roles and functioning and to develop strategies for managing their symptoms.Main duties of the jobThe successful candidate will develop a consistent approach with evidence-based practice and expertise interventions in line with the transformation agenda, facilitating independence and actively working towards discharge. These include:- Standardised ADL assessments based on the MOHO- GLOW (Graduated Living Outside of the Ward), a specialist 1:1 stepped-intensity intervention delivered over a period of 16 sessions.- Occupationally focussed anxiety management group- Sensory profiling and recommendationsThe successful candidate will be offered professional supervision from their Lead Occupational Therapist to focus on their development, and line management supervision from their team manager.
