Delivery Manager - Cloud Migration

• IR35 Status: Outside IR35
• Rate: £500 per day
• Location: South East of England
• Working pattern: Hybrid

• Delivery of the safe and successful migration of the technology estate to cloud services and that the new environment reflects the requirements of the Council
• Creating and managing the programme plan and leading on the co-production of all the additional documentation for good governance and robust risk management
• Developing and leading stakeholder engagement activity to ensure the organisation understands requirements and assists where necessary for a successful migration
• Creating programme structures and applying effective governance routines to ensure the migration keeps to pace and within agreed tolerances
• Fostering a collaborative working relationship with the technical delivery partner and the cloud services supplier, encouraging a technology partner relationship and ensuring they are accountable for their deliverables
• Working with the IT service leads to define benefits and outcomes, ensuring financial benefits are realised to time and the non- financial benefits are optimised
• Monitoring and managing all programme risks effectively and promptly, escalating any that cannot be resolved within the programme governance structure
• Ensuring appropriate and timely SME awareness, engagement, and ownership of tasks
• Identify obstacles and facilitate the removal or resolution of impediments
• Facilitating continuous improvement and development of cloud engineering resources
• Working closely with the Programme Sponsor, the Chief Digital Officer, and the wider IT service to ensure a co-ordinated and collaborative approach to delivery and minimise the impact on services

• Experience of working in local government environments
• Demonstrable experience of implementing large scale cloud migration initiatives and managing the risks and impacts on council operations
• Previous experience of working in an Agile delivery environment
