- Lead and manage the daily operations of the manufacturing division.
- Optimise production planning to ensure efficient use of machinery and meet stock deadlines.
- Drive key performance indicators including quality improvement, waste reduction, productivity, and efficiency.
- Oversee training and assessment of operators to ensure proper machine use and safe working practices.
- Monitor processing to ensure consistent, repeatable results and escalate variances.
- Manage maintenance schedules and ensure machinery operates to specification in collaboration with maintenance teams.
- Maintain accurate production data and ensure compliance with internal quality standards.
- Collaborate with the Quality Control team to uphold and improve finished product standards.
- Ensure safe chemical handling practices and up-to-date MSDS documentation in liaison with the Laboratory Manager.
- Contribute to projects involving environmental impact and health & safety improvements.
- Proven experience in production management.
- Background in lean manufacturing and experience managing change.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Prior experience in a supervisory or managerial role within manufacturing.
- A salary in the region of £40,000
- Monday to Friday, full-time (40 hours per week).
