This centre of excellence is where we engineer and build some of the largest and most complex pump packages in the world, supporting critical infrastructure projects across the globe.As a Lead Design Engineer, you'll manage the full design lifecycle of assigned projects - from concept through to production ensuring quality, cost-efficiency, and compliance with customer specifications. You'll lead a dedicated team, collaborate with clients, and work cross-functionally with internal departments to deliver world-class engineered solutions.Your Main Responsibilities
  • Lead design, engineering, and processing activities for your assigned product range.
  • Manage and develop your team, providing leadership, direction, and technical support.
  • Ensure design quality, cost control, and adherence to project schedules.
  • Prepare detailed engineering studies, technical documentation, and specifications.
  • Attend client and internal meetings to align on requirements and milestones.
  • Oversee CAD work, materials selection, and the specification of factored equipment.
  • Drive continuous improvement and support global standardisation initiatives.
  • Act as a key technical contact during production and support shop floor execution.
What You Bring
  • A recognised qualification in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Proven leadership within a design engineering environment.
  • Strong background in rotating equipment or related mechanical systems.
  • Proficiency in CAD, design tools, and engineering documentation.
  • Commercial awareness and customer-focused approach.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Flexible, proactive, and able to work independently when needed.
