
Maintenance Engineer

- Execute Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and condition monitoring across key manufacturing equipment.
- Respond rapidly to breakdowns and carry out effective fault diagnosis and repairs to minimise downtime.
- Carry out minor facility tasks such as fire alarm testing, drain clearing, and door maintenance.
- Ensure all tools and equipment comply with Health & Safety regulations; report any non-compliances.
- Support maintenance activities across additional UK sites when required.
- Adhere to company standards for handling incidents and dangerous occurrences.
- Provide training to machine operators and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Analyse line and product performance and complete daily activity logs.

- Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer within the fresh produce or beverage industry.
- Recognised Electrical or Mechanical qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or industry-specific apprenticeships).
- Strong fault-finding skills and hands-on experience with production line machinery including conveyor systems, bucket fillers, and strapping machines.
- Capable of working independently under pressure while maintaining safety and quality standards.
- Proven experience in continuous improvement and lean methodologies.
- Strong planning, organisational skills, and attention to detail.
