This is a great time to join our forward-thinking and innovative pharmacy team. We are developing our rotational pharmacist team and invite applications from pharmacists, and foundation pharmacists due to register with the GPhC soon, working in any sector and looking to develop a clinically orientated career.We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic pharmacists with a willingness to learn and work effectively across our clinical teams. This rotational role will build your experience in a range of clinical areas. We offer a fulfilling role, in a friendly and collaborative department with opportunities for development. Development includes in-house training programmes, credentialing/portfolio support and clinical diploma completion. Support will be provided by our Education and Development Pharmacist and our experienced team of Lead Pharmacists.Main duties of the jobYou will work as a rotational pharmacist to:
  • Provide a clinical pharmacy service to a variety of specialities
  • Support safe prescribing and medicines optimisation
  • Support medicines safety and quality improvement
  • Provide medicines related advice to colleagues and patients
  • Support the safe and timely discharge of patients
  • Support clinical screening and accuracy checking within the dispensary
The rotations covered in this role will include clinical services (covering acute medicine, general medicine, general surgery, trauma and orthopaedics, women and children), cancer services (aseptic services, clinical services to our oncology/haematology ward), medicines information, medicines management, parenteral nutrition and clinical trials.About usThere's never been a more exciting time to join TeamQEH.   • Willing to work towards or completed Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical or Technical Pharmacy, or equivalent demonstrable experience

  • MSc in Clinical or Technical Pharmacy
  • Working towards or completed Independent Prescribing qualification
  • Member of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society
ExperienceEssential
  • Demonstrate post-registration experience with substantial hospital experience
  • Able to demonstrate experience of providing a pharmacy clinical service to patients in a range of specialities
  • Experience in providing and evaluating pharmacy education & training including mentorship

  • Experience of providing post-graduate level training and/or education
