Are you an experienced systems focused accountant with strong consolidation skills and advanced Excel expertise? This is an excellent opportunity to join a large, complex international business in a Group Systems Accountant position which offers the chance to work with both day-to-day reporting and exciting adhoc systems projects.This role sits within a supportive, collaborative finance team and will provide exposure to group-level processes, complex consolidations, and ERP systems management. The business has a strong track record of growth and offers an inclusive, development-focused working culture.What will the Group Systems Accountant role involve?
  • Perform monthly group consolidations and maintain month-end timetables
  • Manage ledger openings/closings and monthly FX rate uploads
  • Review submissions from regional teams, ensuring quality and timeliness
  • Generate and distribute internal month-end reports
  • Develop and maintain VBA macros to automate reporting tasks
  • Support group year-end audit and ad hoc reporting projects
Suitable Candidate for the Group Systems Accountant vacancy:
  • Proven experience with Cognos Controller or similar system in a group environment
  • Strong knowledge of month-end close, consolidations, and intercompany processes
  • Experience with Infor Sun Systems, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar ERP systems
  • Advanced Excel skills, including VBA macro development
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to coordinate across regions
