- Carry out scheduled and reactive maintenance of plant and equipment.
- Act as first point of contact for on-site repairs and external service providers.
- Liaise with contractors, engineers, and cleaners - ensuring high standards of safety and quality.
- Support the planning and installation of new machinery.
- Recommend improvements to boost efficiency and reduce downtime.
- Uphold safety procedures, managing risk and reporting incidents as necessary.
- Keep the maintenance workshop and stores organised and well-maintained.
- Attend relevant training and meetings to keep your knowledge up to date.
- NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
- Experience in welding operations.
- Forklift Truck Licence is prefered however training can be provided.
- Supervisory experience, with the ability to lead contract labour on site.
- Strong working knowledge of health and safety legislation.
- Solid IT skills - confident with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent communication, attention to detail, and organisational skills.
- Able to work 07:30 - 15:30hrs, Monday to Friday.
