Job Title: CNC Setter / OperatorLocation: Margate, KentSalary: up to £40,000Hours: WEEK 1: Monday to Friday 6am-2pm / WEEK 2: 2pm-10pmOur Client:Is a well-known manufacturing company that specialises in the design and production of products. With over a century of experience, the company operates as part of a global network, offering products and services to industries including oil and gas, chemicals, aviation and food and beverage sectors.Role Summary:As a CNC Setter/Operator, you will play a vital role in our client's production process. You will be responsible for setting up and operating machines to manufacture components with precision and efficiency.Benefits:

Key responsibilities within your new role would be to:
  • Set and operate CNC multi-tasking lathes to manufacture components from raw materials.
  • Ensure products are to the highest quality before being sent to the assembly line.
  • Produce components in a timely manner.
  • Inspect work to engineers drawings using various measuring equipment.
  • Report and quality defects to the Supervisor.
  • Complete daily, weekly and monthly maintenance checks on the machines.
  • Maintain good housekeeping and report any issues promptly.
  • Optimise efficiencies through reduced set-up and cycle times, plus tool life and monitoring.
  • De-burring, cleaning and final inspection of products.
  • Completing all required paperwork to ensure tractability.
  • Carry out other duties as requested.
Experience and skills required for this position:
  • Experience of setting and operating CNC lathes.
  • Experience of reading and editing programs.
  • The ability to read and understand technical drawings.
  • Be able to use a range of measuring equipment to ensure the accuracy against the drawing.
  • The ability to perform repetitive tasks over a long period of time.
  • Knowledge of operating twin spindle machines would be advantageous.
  • Experience of working with Mazak controls would be advantageous.
