You'll play a key part in shaping how next-generation marine propulsion and hydrodynamic systems are designed, tested, and communicated-translating technical analysis into real-world impact.Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyse and interpret simulation data from performance studies, routing models, and CFD outputs.
  • Develop tools in Python for performance modelling, data processing, and visualisation.
  • Automate visual outputs using libraries like Plotly, Matplotlib, and Seaborn.
  • Produce technical reports and tailored client presentations that clearly communicate complex data.
  • Lead the development of aerodynamic and hydrodynamic performance models.
  • Work closely with control systems, design, mechanical, and commercial teams to drive multidisciplinary projects.
  • Maintain and improve a library of visual templates and workflows for reporting.
  • Explore integration of AI and machine learning into simulation, routing, and optimisation tools.
  • Stay informed on the latest developments in data science, simulation, and maritime sustainability.
What We're Looking For:
  • A strong academic background in Engineering or a related STEM field.
  • Proficiency in Python and experience applying data analysis or simulation tools.
  • Strong communication skills, both technical and client-facing.
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative team environment and taking ownership of tasks.
  • Confident using PowerPoint and presenting findings to stakeholders.
Desirable Skills:
  • Experience managing multiple projects within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Object-oriented programming experience.
  • Familiarity with AI or machine learning for optimisation or forecasting.
  • Background in aerodynamic or hydrodynamic performance engineering and/or CFD.
