Cover Supervisor – Secondary School (Birmingham)We are seeking an experienced Cover Supervisor to work in our client secondary schools across Birmingham. This role is ideal for someone with a background in leading a classroom and a proven ability to manage behaviour effectively.As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering pre-prepared lesson plans in the absence of the regular teacher. Your day-to-day duties will include supervising whole classes, ensuring students remain on task, and maintaining a productive and respectful learning environment. You will need to be adaptable, as you may work across different year groups and subject areas, and confident in managing a variety of classroom situations.Strong behaviour management is essential, as is the ability to build rapport quickly with students. You will need to follow school policies, provide clear instructions, and offer guidance to help pupils complete the set work. While you will not be expected to plan lessons or mark work, you will be a vital part of ensuring continuity of learning.This is a temporary role to start in September 2025, with assignments varying in length. It would suit someone who is flexible, reliable, and committed to supporting young people’s education.Location: Birmingham

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
