A leading regional law firm with offices across Lincolnshire and the Midlands is seeking a confident, proactive, and structured Private Client professional to join its growing team. This role offers the opportunity to manage a broad range of private client matters while contributing to the development of the department.The Role
The successful candidate will be experienced in a variety of private client matters, including:Drafting Wills, including those utilising trusts for complex family situationsInheritance Tax (IHT) and Capital Gains Tax (CGT) planningPreparation and registration of Powers of Attorney (EPAs and LPAs)Court of Protection practiceAdministration of taxable and non-taxable estatesIdentifying trust administration requirementsThe role also involves supporting the departments Marketing Policy to promote and enhance the firms reputation and business.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide ongoing service to existing clientsWork with Partners and other Fee Earners to develop new businessDevelop and enhance the Private Client departmentProduce fee income in line with targets and agreed objectivesMaintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant law and practiceMaintain and enhance professional legal skillsManage financial control, including billing and cash flow on client mattersPerform fee-earning work accurately and reliably in accordance with the firms quality and risk proceduresPerson SpecificationEssentialExperience in all mainstream private client matters, including Wills, Powers of Attorney, mental capacity issues, Tax Planning, Estate Administration, and use of TrustsAbility to manage own caseload confidentlyStrong planning and organisational skillsClear understanding of Money Laundering Regulations and Solicitors Account RulesExcellent communication, written, and numeracy skillsAbility to create and nurture relationships with key clientsProactive, positive, and professional approachAbility to prioritise workloads and work under pressureDesirableSTEP qualified or desire to qualifyExperience with agricultural estates or high-net-worth clientsAbility to supervise othersKnowledge of case management systemsMarketing and business development skillsPresentation and public speaking skillsAttributesHigh level of integrity and empathyHardworking and client-focusedAbility to react well under pressure and meet deadlinesEstablished client followingBenefits
