Job Description:Role Overview:Our Wilton site is a critical part of Huntsman Polyurethanes’ manufacturing operations and is designated as a COMAH top-tier site. To support our ongoing commitment to safety, reliability, and innovation, we are hiring an Asset Engineer, Automation. This role will focus on managing and developing our process control and safety systems to ensure optimal performance, availability, and integrity.We are looking for someone who is technically strong, proactive, and passionate about automation and control systems in a complex industrial environment. In this role, you will report to the Site Responsible Electrical & Instrument Engineer and be accountable for the availability and integrity of control and safety systems, as well as ensuring compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements.Do you think you’re the right fit for this opportunity? Apply today!Role Responsibilities:As an Asset Engineer, Automation, you will be responsible for:Providing professional control engineering expertise and advice to production, maintenance and engineering teams, including root cause problem solvingActing as System Manager for various systems, including DCS, MIS, and programmable safety-critical systemsEnsuring system reliability and compliance in line with Huntsman procedures and Cyber Security guidelinesManaging changes in accordance with Huntsman Polyurethanes’ Management Procedures (HPMPs)Coordinating external resources, including configuration support and service contractsDriving continuous improvement through the application of new and existing control technologiesDeveloping asset life plans and obsolescence reviews for control systems including migration milestonesSupporting capital and improvement projects with technical expertise from design through commissioningPromoting best practices in alarm management and reporting against Huntsman KPIsExperience and Competencies:What we are looking for:Degree in Control, Electrical, or a related Engineering discipline (extensive relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree qualification)Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience in control systems within a chemical or other high hazard industrial plant environment (e.g. Utilities, Oil & Gas, Pharma)Strong knowledge of control system engineering and associated hardwareExperience with DCS, MIS, and safety-critical systems (ideally Emerson Delta-V and HIMA Sella systems)Knowledge of Industrial Cybersecurity standards and guidelines would be highly regardedFamiliarity with COMAH regulations and process safety fundamentalsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and manage multiple prioritiesExcellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to interact with associates at different sites globallyWhat next?If you would like to join an innovative, collaborative and multicultural team, please apply now.
