Join us today and experience Life at Visa.Job DescriptionVisa is seeking an experienced Event Marketing Specialist to join our Europe Events team to drive impactful programming that aligns with our business priorities.This role requires a customer-centric focus and a strategic mindset in developing and executing B2B event programming that supports business priorities, fosters brand engagement, and generates business opportunities. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of collaborating with key internal stakeholders in producing events aligned to strategic objectives and desired outcomes.Responsibilities may include:Event Programming: Develop, plan, and execute event programming for proprietary (Visa-hosted) and industry (third-party) events, ensuring alignment with sales, marketing, and communication priorities.Cross-Functional & Regional Collaboration: Partner with internal stakeholders across functions (marketing, sales, product, communications, leadership) and regions to define event objectives, messaging, and target audiences.Content Development: Alongside communications and subject matter experts, curate compelling content and engagement formats that deliver value to attendees and drive engagement.Lead Generation: Design B2B event experiences that maximize lead capture, nurture, and conversion opportunities for the sales team.Performance Measurement: Establish KPIs and measure event performance, providing post-event analysis and recommendations for continuous improvement.Project Management: Drive workstreams to ensure projects stay on track, adapting and consulting with leadership as required.Vendor & Partner Management: Manage relationships with event organizers, partners, and vendors to ensure seamless event execution.Brand Consistency: Ensure events reflect Visa’s brand playbook, maintaining consistency across regions and event types.Budget Management: Oversee workstream budgets, negotiate contracts.Market Trends: Stay informed on global event trends, technologies, and best practices, applying innovative solutions to enhance event impact.Successful Candidate QualitiesMust possess a passion for events and in-depth understanding of how events engagement bolsters brand and supports business objectivesCreative approach to development of event concepts – think outside the box – with a desire to constantly innovate and improve all event aspectsExcellent communication, negotiation and relationship management skills, particularly with senior executive level stakeholdersDemonstrated exceptional project management, organization and planning skills applied in a fast paced, multi-tasking environmentSelf-directed personality that takes a proactive, hands-on role in problem solving, decision-making, creating new procedures and innovating new ways to enhance existing processesStrong customer orientation - look to deliver impactful and beneficial events for clients and attendees with a focus on qualityMust be able to facilitate domestic and international event programs, as required. Job requires 10-15% overnight travel and from time-to-time overtime and weekend workThis is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.QualificationsBasic Qualifications
o5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhDPreferred Qualifications
o8+ years of experience in B2B event program development, production, operations, budgeting, and measurement
oProven track record of planning and executing creative, engaging B2B events that drive business outcomes
oStrong tradeshow/exhibition management experience, including partnering with product, innovation and marketing teams in creating impactful experiences that drive audience engagement
oStrong stakeholder and executive management in global, matrixed organisations
oExperience in managing lead generation and capture, data and CRM management
oFamiliarity with event marketing and sales CRM systems, such as MS Dynamics, Salesforce, Eloqua, Marketo, Cvent, SwoogoAdditional InformationVisa is an EEO Employer.
