Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Long-Term until December 2025 (with a view to becoming permanent)
Pay: £160 – £250 per day (dependent on experience)
Hours: 8:00am – 4:00pm | Full-Time
Location: BournemouthPosition Overview:Supply Desk is working in partnership with a well-regarded secondary school near central Bournemouth to recruit a passionate and committed Religious Education (RE) Teacher. The successful candidate will begin in September 2025 on a long-term basis through December 2025, with strong potential for the role to become permanent for the right individual.You will be teaching RE across Key Stages 3 and 4, working closely with a collaborative and supportive Humanities department.This is a great opportunity for both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced educators, and the school is also open to considering unqualified teachers or non-specialists with relevant secondary RE teaching experience.Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive RE lessons that promote respect and understanding of different beliefs and cultures.
  • Assess student progress and provide timely, constructive feedback.
  • Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental development.
  • Foster a positive learning environment and maintain high standards of classroom behaviour.
  • Engage with school life and participate in relevant extracurricular activities.

What We’re Looking For:
  • A degree in Religious Studies or a related subject (essential).
  • QTS or equivalent recognised teaching qualification (preferred).
  • Experience teaching RE at KS3 and KS4.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • A genuine passion for Religious Education and student development.
