We have a great opportunity for a dedicated Trainee Occupational Hygienist to join our Environment & Safety Division and wear the SOCOTEC badge with pride.We are looking for a dedicated, reliable Trainee Occupational Hygienist to join our Environmental Team. As a member of the Team, it is key that you have the balance to be driven and independent, as well as being a strong team player. A background in safety and exposure monitoring, as well as knowledge of the industry are essential in order to thrive in this role.The tasks you will undertake will include (but are not limited to):
  • Attend clients' operational sites to safely perform scheduled monitoring to determine occupational exposure to dust, fume, noise, vibration and other workplace health hazards
  • Prepare detailed technical occupational hygiene reports to SOCOTEC's high quality standards
  • Comply with SOCOTEC's various management systems (Health & safety, Environmental, Quality)
To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to gain the confidence and cooperation of the client's workforce
  • An ability to self-manage workload & deadlines
  • A full driving licence
