Role ID: SF52791At Babcock we're working to create a safe and secure world, together, and if you join us, you can play your part as a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer at our Cardiff site.The roleAs a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You will undertake planned preventative and reactive maintenance, assist with scenario setup and training support duties within a busy training centre environment. This role will be working Monday to Friday normal days without shifts.Day to day, you will assist the Facilities & Maintenance Team Leader with duties, including but not limited to:
- Establishing compliance with Health Safety & Environmental Procedures, Risk Assessments (RA's), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's), Management Procedures, and Quality Systems to ISO9002.
- Supervision and contributions towards H&S “Safe Systems of Working”, including contractor control & authorisation/permit to work processes
- Undertake responsibilities for policing site activities and ensuring compliance and enforcement of site procedures.
- IT literate MS Office applications.
- Current full driving licence.
- Knowledge, experience and capability to diagnose equipment faults to include single &3-phase ac electrical systems utilising appropriate test equipment and an awareness of PLC systems
- BTEC/NVQ Level-3 in Electrical / Electronic Engineering discipline and supporting on the job experience.
